John Parson is the founder and head coach of the Bushido Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Zionsville. John is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu under legendary Jiu-Jitsu Master Pedro Sauer. 

Over the years, John has fought, competed as well as coached students to success in numerous local, regional and national grappling competitions as well as amateur and professional mixed martial arts.

He started the Bushido Zionsville Academy after utilizing what was learned as a student and during training at the world’s most prestigious Jiu-Jitsu and MMA gyms to create Indiana’s premier Martial Arts academy. 

Through Bushido, John is able to share his passion for the “way of the warrior,” and building character through martial arts training.​

​Prior to Bushido, John was a successful runner. After his running career ended he found Jiu-Jitsu and trained under multiple time World and Pan-Am Champion, John Connors in Norwood, MA continuing at the Nick Diaz Academy in Lodi and Stockton, CA. Although living in New England John experienced training at some of the most prestigious locations before landing at Manchester BJJ/Pedro Sauer.
